In 2016 LSF funded a teenage girl from an orphanage to train as a Dental Assistant, in collaboration with the Dental Care International training institute, Bokkawala, Central Province, Sri Lanka. The training course was 6 months of studies and 6 months of work placements. In August 2017 the girl completed the training and passed a Government accredited exam in the field. She is now gainfully employed at a Dental Surgery in Colombo.
