Kahawa Rathanasara Maha Vidyalaya (KRMV) in southern Sri Lanka was affected by the 2004 Tsunami. Since then, with the assistance of funds raised by the Sydney Boys High School Year 10 students, LSF has been helping KRMV in various ways such as providing furniture, educational and sports material, musical instruments, computers, laptops, and a Data Projector.
Currently Lak Saviya Foundation is funding for two additional teachers in Tamil and IT education. A proposal to protect 6 class rooms and educational material from adverse effects of wet weather is also being pursued.
